John Stoa
I was born in Scotland commencing working life as a gardener in Dundee Parks Dept. I studied crop science at The Scottish Crop Research Institute in Invergowrie Dundee. After getting married moved south to Sussex. Gained the National Diploma in Horticulture in 1969, then moved to Worcester to work as a manager on Fox Fruit Farm. In 1972 returned to parks work and outdoor leisure facilities in Dudley then onto Darlington, and Livingston before returning to Dundee in 2001. Became a full time artist in 1992. Interest in art was established in early childhood and am self taught. Subjects cover town to country, floral to figurative, snow scenes, summer landscapes, and Scottish castles. I run art classes in my studio and often publish limited edition prints, as well as luxury Christmas cards.
